These two made sure there wasn’t any peace on the lake for the other birds as they chased each other, cartoon-like across the water. It was great fun to watch!
I photographed these house sparrows yesterday afternoon on Laxey promenade. I like the texture of the old Manx stone of the ice-cream shop building where the sparrows live all year round.
The Ayres is a stretch of remote, bleak coastline with sand dunes mixed with coarse grass, located at the most northern part of the Isle of Man. My last visit was in September when I spotted quite a few Sanderlings and Ringed Plover.
