These two made sure there wasn’t any peace on the lake for the other birds as they chased each other, cartoon-like across the water. It was great fun to watch!

We saw some near Broughton-in-Furness which were even more fun to watch as the pond was iced up – the females just side-stepped at the crucial moment while the male went sprawling past, legs and wings in all directions, totally unable to stop! 😉
