I woke up this morning to a dense sea mist covering the Island. Whilst taking a walk through Ballannette nature reserve and wetlands, at times the fog was almost too dense to have any good visibility.
Manannin’s Cloak is the name given by Islanders to this thick fog/mist, relating back to old Manx folklore.
Excellent set of images
Thanks very much!
Beautiful misty shots there – I love a good mist… so long as I’m not up a mountain! Particularly liked the bullrushes one.
Thanks. I’m sure it can get tricky on a misty mountain!
Thanks for the beautiful photos and the info on Manannin’s Cloak (well deserve name)! I did a search for the Manx Folklore…
Thank you!
These are fantastic images. So atmospheric!
Thank you
These are just lovely-the muted colors with the fog really convey a mood and tone. Well done!
Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. Jackie
