I photographed these house sparrows yesterday afternoon on Laxey promenade. I like the texture of the old Manx stone of the ice-cream shop building where the sparrows live all year round.

I wandered down to Garwick Bay on Sunday. It’s a secret, secluded little bay, next one along from Laxey heading south. It’s about a ten minute walk from the coast road, down a steep, bumpy, windy road. Lots of ancient trees, many sea birds (although I didn’t photograph any) and not another soul in sight! It’s an odd, lonely little place now but I can imagine years ago it was a bustling fishing bay.
