Believe it or not, despite living about as far away from the coast as you can get, we have Oystercatchers around here – they sit in the fields pecking away. I’m sure they are the same ones as the coastal ones. Great shots you’ve got there – I can never get ‘action shots’ like those – they’d probably have to be stuffed for me to get some 😉

Thanks Carol. I believe Oystercatchers are now quite common. They are still my favourite wader and I like the noise they make!
