      Thanks Vicki. I’d only ever seen a handful of these orchids in the past so it was special to see thousands in one location.

   Bit like a Scottish machair that. We’ve just been staying somewhere on Skye where there were some orchids of a lovely deep purple just outside the window – was lovely!

      You’ve just reminded me that Skye is a place I’d like to visit. I visited as a child but I have little recollection.
