Whilst I was on the Laxey coastal path today there was a yacht race under-way from Douglas Yacht Club. It would be a shame not to post some of the photographs even though visibility and light wasn’t great today. It looked quite tricky out on the open water and I couldn’t believe how close the yachts get to each other.
It’s the Tower Insurance Autumn Series 2013
It seems that you live in one of the most beautiful places in the world!!!!
Thanks Suri. I feel very lucky to live here!
My Dad would love those – he’s sailed all his life. Looks quite a grey day on the Isle of Man there – pretty windy too by the looks.
Carol.
It was a grey and windy, but surprisingly not that cold up the hill. We’ll have to get used to grey days now!
Jackie
yeah, it’s been grey, dull and very wet all week here. At least it’s warm though – I like warm. I’m dreading the temperature drops forecast for November – apparently it’s going to be really cold 😦
Certainly doesn’t look the best day for a yacht race. Very gloomy and grey.
No, not at all really but this is a common day for us in autumn/winter. It makes the lovely bright days very welcome.
I agree-what a wonderful place to live-this is a terrific series Jackie-you really get a sense of the vastness of the water and the man-made boat making its way through-
Thank you. We’ll have to get used to making the best of the grey days!
