My mornings often start with an early walk with my camera and last weekend some dew laden foliage caught my eye so I stopped to take some photographs. I nearly jumped out of my skin as I spotted some strange creatures on the leaves. I’ve never seen or heard of them before – they’re Green Shield Bugs.
Sorry, don’t have nightmares – I’m sure they’re harmless!
This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is Good Morning.

Well captured! Do you get Green Shield Stamps with them (or are you too young to remember them?) 😉
Carol.
Thanks Carol. How could I forget Green Sheild stamps. It’s the first thing I thought of when I looked this insect up in my Encyclopaedia Britannica. Well, actually I Googled it. Husband said we don’t need the the EB anymore as I know everything!
I have to say I think Google seems to know everything – there’s very little I haven’t been able to find out about on there – no matter how obscure the question is!

Interesting looking!
They are strange but I’m not used to seeing them around!
Strange little things aren’t they, shield bugs. 🙂
I think so, I can’t believe I’ve never seen them before!
