   I’ve never seen a red dragonfly – I think I’ve only ever seen blue ones.

   I’ve actually been seeing a grasshopper in Cumbria this last couple of weeks – haven’t seen one of those since I was little! Didn’t have a camera handy though 😉

      There are quite a few dragonflies at Ballanette nature reserve in Baldrine at this time of year. Lots of blue tailed damselflies too! I can always hear the grasshoppers and crickets at Ballanette but have only ever spotted one.

         It’s the movement you spot – they’re virtually impossible to see, being the same green as the grass…
