The hills look lovely though (if a little crumbly) – I have visited Egypt but not that part. I’d love to go somewhere nice and warm at the moment!
Carol.
Yes, from sunrise, all the diving boats and glass bottomed boats started to leave en masse and I think it’s popular like this all year round. The underwater life is stunning though!
I love the jaggedness of the hills and mountains in this part of the world. The climate was perfect in April. I’ve been to Egypt in February before and the daytime has been lovely but it gets cold in the evenings.
I think April is probably the very best time to visit the Middle East – either that or September. Around Petra Beida area, the desert turns very green in spring and it looks amazing! The Beduin apparently plant some kind of grass plants for their livestock for the spring. There’s usually a bit of rain around then and it flourishes well – soon dies out come summer though!
Looks to be some money sat in that harbour!

You really take amazing photos. I can almost feel and smell the air.
Thank you
